Home Business Oppurtunities - What To Look For When Choosing One

December 7th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

There are literally thousands of home business opportunities to select from today. The only problem with that is…how do you decide which ones are the real opportunity & which ones are the over exaggerated, unrealistic scams.

To be completely honest, there’re a lot of scams out there today; but if you do some serious research, you can find a few real business opportunities with real earning potential. I would recommend staying away from those hyped up ‘ YOU CAN MAKE $1,000 A DAY WITHOUT DOING ANY REAL WORK “ ads. Rumor has it, most of the time there is no real truth to it… Most of these so called “opportunities ” charge a lot of money to get involved with their company. Think about it, why should you have to pay a company to market & sell their products or services. There is more. That does not make any sense considering that what ever you sell for them, their going to get their cut.

Remember you should not have to pay a ridiculous start up fee for the chance to sell that companies products.

If you’re searching for a home business opportunity that sells some sort of product or service, really study them to see if this is something that you would feel comfortable selling by either on line or offline means. Take a good look at the prices of these products, make certain that they’re reasonable. It would also be very wise to attempt out what you would be marketing & selling; this way you will have a better understanding of what you’re marketing to the public. Make sure that if there’re commissions involved that they’re to your liking. Find out when commission checks are sent out & other methods that may be available to receive your payment.

Make sure that any home business company that you deal with has legitimate contact information along with some sort of support that can be called upon when needed. Call the actual company to be sure it is not ran strictly by some machine, be sure you can talk to a real person.

One more thing, you can make good money with some home business opportunities. Just take the time to do the research & be ready to do some real work that can build a wealthy future for you & your family. Right now, one of the most honest & realistic business opportunities out there is a company called SFI. I recommend this company to any one looking to start their own home business with incredible earning potential.

Where to Look for a Work at Home Job or Business - How Do You Decide?

November 28th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

More & more working mothers are looking through the internet & the classified ads for the perfect work at home job - one that allows them to make their own hours, & spend time with their kids. There is more. There’re some legitimate companies out there but there’re also an equal amount of scams. So… Some work at home opportunities offer a higher hourly wage but no insurance or benefits. And some business opportunities can offer a large payout but you do have to invest your time & money for marketing. In order to decide which route to select you should look at & write down your goals… Are you searching for some short term income & employment or long term financial freedom? If you’re just searching for some extra spending cash a part time job from home might be fine. And if you do not have the cash to spend on a consistent marketing campaign that might also be the way to go. If you’re looking to build a business for yourself while making time for your family, examine each opportunity carefully. Make sure that the one you select has:

1) Easy access to support.

2) A step by step marketing plan with time tested ads & sales copy.

3) A follow up system that works automatically to keep your opportunity in front of interested parties.

4) A high enough priced product so that you do not have to sell a million of them to make a profit.

Then really examine where you’re both in mindset & finances:

1) Do you have the time to devote to your business on a daily, weekly & monthly basis?

2) Are you dedicated to succeeding?

3) Do you have some income available to devote to your marketing efforts until you business can pay for its own marketing?

4) Are you the type of person who can seem enthusiastic & get others enthusiastic about your business, service or products?

If you can answer yes to these four questions then go for the home business otherwise look at a work at home job opportunity. If your answer is that you need some part time income consider sites like guru.com & rentacoder.com. These sites are full of people searching for individual persons to fulfill short term projects. There is more. They need writers, programmers, marketers, etc… You bid on the job & if they select you they will pay you when the job is complete. It may take a while to build your reputation but eventually you can earn a good living this way.

If your answer is that you need a business of your own that will support you & your kids for years to come the consider finding a home business that you can get enthusiastic about. Remember to look at their marketing campaign & customer service first. And make certain that you’re dedicated to treating it like a business. Remember you’re the boss & the amount of money that you earn is entirely up to you.

Choosing a Great Home Business - Some Basics

November 19th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

Whether you’re searching for a just a little extra cash or a complete lifestyle you will no doubt consider a home business at some particular point in the process. Finding the right home business for you is a daunting task but if you consider some basic costs & benefits you can make the task a lot simpler.

1. Initial Capital & Timeline to Profits

Beware the wild promises of some adverts, there is no such thing as a free lunch, there is always an initial outlay of some degree or other be it a computer, a decent desk & chair or even just time, because time, after all, does equal money! There’re lots of low start up cost businesses out there but are they going to turn to providing profit in a reasonable timeframe? The higher the initial investment the longer it will take to recoup the investment. Can you afford to live while you wait for the dollars $ to come rolling in? What if there is a delay due to some unforeseen event such as illness?

2. Your Availability

Still in your salaried job & still dependent on that salary? How much time can you afford to devote to the new venture while it gets off the ground? Unless you are lucky enough to have a sizable reserve then you will be just like most people, too little time to get your home business profitable enough to quit your salaried job.

The compromise then is to start a home business that you can work at part time while you learn the ropes & then devote more of your time to later when you’re sure the formula is a winner. Understand that the majority of entrepreneurs work long hours including weekends at building their businesses.

3. Your Enthusiasm & Commitment

It’s real easy to think that you can work at being your own boss in just about any field. The fact is a little different. You’ll need to be so driven by your business that you feel comfortable putting in long hours day after day. Usually this comes easiest to those who are working at something they really are passionate about. In other words, if you really love the work you are doing, doe it really feel like are you actually working? Your goal isn’t just to make money but to continue to do so, you’ll need to maintain your interest & energy so you’ll be better off with a subject of particular interest to you.

4. Long Term Outlook for Reward

Obviously you are in business to make money so have you researched your idea  enough to feel confident in the demand for your product or service both now & in the future? Remember that fads & fashions come & go. Technology advances & other factors outside your control can & will occur so ensure you’re not overly exposed to changes of this nature. Ensure there is no limit to the potential reward, that way you will not run into the trap of diminishing returns.

Online Home Business - Select Products That People Will Use

November 10th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

If you’re like most people doing on line home business, then you’re probably sick & tired of asking people for hundreds of dollars $ per month to purchase product of which 95% of them will never sell or use themselves.

When I originally started my on line home business, the part that I hated was to ask friends & neighbors to join me as members & sell the products. Clear? I was sick & tired of asking people to buy the products that 99.99% of them will never get sold or can not actually be used by the people who possess them.

In the beginning, I bought myself 100s of junk products that I thought I’ll be easily able to sell or find subscribers to it… Now they’re in my back yard shed, collecting dust. I’m talking about some stupid vitamins, household items, & what not. I found out that they were overpriced & no body really used them.

The part of the problem in this industry is most products are not affordable & they’re not being used regularly in order for customers to keep coming back. This is why long-time on line home business marketers often become fed-up & failed.

In order to be successful, especially in on line home business, you need products that customers will actually use & will have to come back again & again month after month. The products have to be affordable. You can not expect people to buy products that are overpriced. People know when a product is over priced.

The things I’ll look for before I jump into spending marketing dollars $ for any product in my on line home business are: The product should be usable by the population, reasonably priced monthly payment to subscribe or to order, no shipping involved no hidden costs, no employees needed.

Another point I wanted to make is this- affordability has different meaning to different consumers. For this reason affordability depends on to which customer group you’re marketing to. Like one of the products that I’m selling is domain names. It’s not that expensive. I target that mostly to ordinary population. On the other hand I also sell internet marketing tools for on line home businesses. There is more. They are not that cheap. What I’m getting at is affordability depends up on the products & to whom you’re targeting the products.

There are 600 million Internet users, & more & more people daily are using their own web sites as a way to promote their on line home business. Clear? I suggest you spend time on your research, come up with a product or products that p3eople are already searching for at a great price, & offers an outstanding business opportunity.

I urge you to do your research to get a better understanding of how to get started in Online Home Business.

If You Can Write Articles You Can Make Money At Home

November 2nd, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

I can remember back when I first started my make money at home business, I was told that if I could write articles I could make a very comfortable living. Do you follow? That was well over a year ago. Unfortunately, I myself did not listen.

I tried every other internet marketing method offered up to me & lost thousands upon thousands of dollars $ trying to make money on line at home.

Finally in the past few weeks a light bulb keeps going off to write articles & publish them for money… The best part is it cost no money to write articles & most of the article directories do not charge to publish them. Strange that it takes me so long for the simplest things to sink in.

There are so many great ways to make money online. But seeing that I’m technically challenged, article writing fits my abilities much more.

Think about it… This is the information super highway. All this information is usually in the form of articles. So… Someone needs to write these articles. There is more. That is where I come in.

There are content sites out there that pay you for your articles. There is more. They pay you anywhere from $5 to $25 per article. If you submit from 10 to 20 articles a day it adds up to some pretty good money.

And with article writing the more you write the better you become. Once you get your groove going you can create a very good article in about 20 minutes. There is more. That is around 3 articles in an hour if you stay real focused. With two to three hours of work a day you could be earning $50 to $250 a day part time.

Now where else could you make that kind of money?

The best part is you never run out of material to write about. There is a never ending need for information. Check out what’s happening in the news. Go into different forums & see what questions people are asking about. OK. See what the very latest info commercial is on the television. What is hot at the newsstands in magazines? What are your hobbies or interests? What are your children or grandparents interested in?

There are so many avenues to write about at any given time.

I sell some of my articles to a content website. They pay well & they usually approve your articles for payment in a week or less. There is more. The money is directly deposited to my Pay Pal account & I then transfer to my banking account.

The content site costs nothing to belong to. They also give you hot topics that they’re searching for at the moment & other topics that they’re looking for. Then all you really need to do is, do a little research on a topic & write an article.

You do not even have to be a real expert on a specific topic to write an article & make money at home. The internet has all the information you really need to gain enough knowledge to write the article. Glean a few facts. Add your own spin & words. Right. Walla you have an article to submit to directories or to content sites for sale.

Article writing is the easiest way to make money at home. You determine your hours. You decide what you want to write about. You decide the amount of money you want to make at home.

There are no limits to this, only the limits placed by you.

So if you’re looking to make money at home, may I suggest you check into writing articles? This is a no cost, never ending field that is always searching for fresh writers.

Business Opportunity Ideas for the Stay-at-Home Mom

October 24th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities 1 Comment »

As a stay-at-home mom, you might be seeking employment or business opportunities that enable you to earn a full-time or part-time income from home. Maybe you had like to work flexible hours, stay home with your children, or avoid high gasoline & car maintenance costs. Right. Whatever the reason, there’re many opportunities on line today that can assist you achieve your goals & earn some extra cash.

Three Options for a Home-Based Business

There are three ways to approach a home business. You can offer products of your own such as clothing, crafts, hair supplies, books, or herbal supplements, build your own website, & stock your own inventory. Unfortunately, this takes much time to build & requires a start-up investment. If you want to offer your own product line, be prepared to wait a while for profits. But keep in mind that this option can be the most profitable for the future if you stick with it.

Another option is to offer a completely unique service such as accounting or bookkeeping, answering services, Web development or programming, business consulting, or writing. Offering a service has benefits over selling tangible products because you only charge for your “time & skills” but not to restock inventory.

A third option is to sell products or services for others & earn a commission on your sales. There is more. This works great if you have limited time to work on your business & need to spend most of your time promoting. Do you follow? This option can be just as profitable as having your own home business without the many headaches of business management.

Types of Business Opportunities when Selling for Others

Though time & space does not permit discussion of all business opportunities here, let us take a look at many possibilities. Beauty products are a popular choice for ladies. Most women love to attempt out new skin creams, lotions, soaps, makeup, & lip glosses. Because you can attempt out the beauty products yourself, you’re more informed on how well they work & how to persuade others to buy them. Some companies offer tremendous compensation when you sell their beauty products for them. They’ll even provide a website for you with all of their products & a shopping cart for your customers to make purchases.

Another type of product that is popular is clothing. Clothing is very general, so you will want to focus in on one particular style or line of clothing. Find a “niche” market within the clothing industry that you can promote to certain types of people. Online, it is easier to promote to small niche markets instead of trying to promote to a general audience.

Tech support is another much-needed field that is often ignored by mainstream companies. There is more. There’re business opportunities today that enable you to promote tech support services to the public & receive a healthy commission. The tech support services are all provided by the company online, but you reap the benefits. Your audience is broad because so very many people own computers today… & need help with them!

Other business opportunity ideas include health supplements, educational training products & on line education, kitchenware, furniture, household products, pet products, & home & garden products.

Whether you select to start your own business or sell products for some one else, you can use the Internet to achieve your goals & still be a content stay-at-home mom!

Keeping Sane With Your Home Business

October 15th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

As a home business owner you have a lot to think about. You have things to do for your business. There is more. There’re errands to run, chores to do, & all kinds of things in your personal life to keep track of. Managing & juggling all of these things can be a real challenge.

But one of the biggest things to remember is that when it comes to running your home business, it’s easy to get sucked into the daily & weekly tasks that need to be done to run it… Don’t let this happen. Work to stay sane & make certain you spend time with your family.

After all, is not this one of the main reasons why you decided to have a home based business? Make sure that you do the best that you can for them. Provide them with every opportunity you can to live a great life. And if you ignore them, it will decrease the quality of all of your lives.

In order to stop this from happening, there’re many things you can do to keep your head clear & to keep sane while running your home business. Clear? If your head isn’t clear & you spend a lot of time being stressed about business related things, this will decrease the quality of your life.

List Your Priorities

One of the most significant things you can do is to make a list of your priorities & stick to it… In many ways, knowing what your priorities are is the easiest part. OK. Staying focused & understanding that the quality of your life & your family members’ lives is if you stick with this.

This is something that you should do before you even start to think about having a home business. But, if you have already started your business do not worry ? you can make the list whenever you can. This is because once you get started you’ll find that you have a lot more to think about. There’re going to be more offers than you can handle & there’re going to be a lot of decisions that you really need to make.

So what are your priorities? Spend a lot of time creating a list that makes sense for you… Post it in a place where you can see it so that you’ll always be reminded of the things that are important to you.

For example, if you say that you’re going to only let your business get big during your first year, & you stick with it, your business will not go out of control right away.

If you say that you’ll spend five hours a day on your business & spend the rest of the time with your family & you stick with it, the quality of your life will improve & you may also find more ways to be efficient with your time.

Keep things Separate

Another thing that you should do to help keep you sane with your home business is to be sure that you’re taking time away from your business. Clear? It’s very important to start off your business by working hard. Your hard work will start to pay off as your business grows. However, you also need to keep your family & private life separate from your home business. Clear? If not, you may find yourself going crazy.

A good way to do this is to have set office hours when you’re working & have hours when you’re not. During the time when you’re not working, you’re home & available for your family. There is a temptation to do work all the time, especially if you have a lot to do. Avoid this & stick to your hours.

If you’re going to be successful with your home business, this is something that you really need to be easily able to do. But not just that, you really need to stick with it… If you prioritize, have set hours, & stick with both of these things, it will keep you from going crazy with your home business.

Remember that if you can do these things, you’re going to be much more successful with your home business. Not only that, but you’ll be a lot more relaxed & be easily able to manage your stress better… And the best part is, your family will be very happy& thankful that you’re not just making money, but you’re there for them.

Work at Home - Is It Really for You?

October 6th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

You know that most American workers, (80% according to the Wall Street Journal) would love to work at home, do not you?

Imagine how wonderful it would be to:

  • Be home with the kids instead of sending them away to day care
  • Have the freedom & control of being your own boss
  • Be able to control your income

I am sure you have the same dreams.

However, the fact that you’re reading this article tells me you have moved beyond the dream stage.

You have decided you want to have a work at home business, if you could figure it out.

Let me tell you a little story about that, about making decisions.

There were 5 birds sitting in a tree. One decided to fly away. How many were left?

The answer is five. I said 1 bird decided to fly away, I myself did not say he flew away.

Unfortunately, my friend, that is as far as most people get. They make a decision to do something, yet never do it.

I sincerely hope that you’re an exception & that after reading this you’ll take action, you’ll start or buy a work at home business.

There are generally 4 concerns that keep people from starting their own work at home business:

1. Lack of money

2. Lack of time

3. Too much risk

4. Lack of know how

Ironically, the Internet, the same technology that is making it possible for big companies to outsource even high paying, white collar jobs; now makes it possible for a growing variety of work at home businesses to flourish.

You are no longer limited to stuffing envelopes or assembling samples at home.

In fact, some experts, such as economist Paul Zane Pilzer, are touting the work at home business as the model of the future & the economic savior of the American middle class.

These new businesses can potentially solve the most common fears people have about starting their own work at home company.

1- Lack of money

a. Most cost less than $1,000 to start

2- Lack of time

a. They can generally be started on a part time basis

3- Too risky

a. You are not risking much money or time

4- Lack of know how

This is one of the biggest benefits of this model. You buy into a turn key operation, a franchise in everything but name.

Although your work at home company is completely yours, it’s plugged into the “Mother Company” via the Internet.

In reality, your little work at home company has the resources of a Multi Million dollar corporation supporting it.

Company policies & procedures, administrative & technical support, marketing research, payroll, accounting & training are only a mouse click away.

Your task is to distribute the Mother Company’s products & services.

Distribution represents about 80% of the cost of an item so outsourcing distribution to a network of independent distributors who act as the company’s unpaid distribution arm makes a lot of sense.

The key to success for your work at home business is to distribute as much of the company’s product or service as possible. To do this most effectively, you’ll engage as many subagents as possible.

The marketing plan allows you to leverage the time & money of these subagents while not being responsible for them as employees.

Just by building their own businesses, they’re building your business.

Whenever you or one of your subagents makes a sale, you get paid.

Whether you select to go straight to work next week or go on vacation, money is still coming in; unlike a doctor, lawyer or corporate employee.

You own the business, the business doesn’t own you!

If you’re with the right Mother Company, in the right industry, with a hungry & growing market & have a desirable, profitable product, you’re set to go.

You merely build a large team & become the CEO of a Multi-Million dollar, work at home company that’ll produce passive income, equity & eventually financial security & independence.

Hopefully, the information I’ve given you’ll lead to a better understanding of work at home businesses & will encourage you to start your own, soon.

September 27th, 2007 Rob Posted in Home Business Opportunities No Comments »

Starting a work at home business can be the best life choice you have ever made. Before I started my work from home business venture, I decided that I was going to investigate many different work at home programs & companies to root out the legitimate business opportunities from the fraudulent ones. I was dismayed at the number of programs that had poor work at home business models, out-dated information, broken links on their website, almost no customer support, & no chance to ever make money online.

Please check on the reliability of the business offering or the work at home opportunity before sending any money… The Internet is filled with work at home businesses that claim you can make money working at home easily & fast.
