Writing articles that other people can reprint on their website, or in their ezine is one of the most effective ways of getting free traffic to your website. And so… So far so good. Write articles related to your website’s niche & allow other people to reprint them on their website provided that your by-line remains intact & that they link to your website from the article.

Writing articles accomplishes three things:

1.You get free traffic from websites that reprint your article.

2.You get a link to your website, which in turns helps your Search Engine rankings.

3.Over time, you develop a reputation as being a real expert in your field.

The by-line of your article should have the name of the article, your name, a short description of the article, reprint information, & a link to your website. For example:

If you have not branded yourself yet, using articles is the easiest (and in my opinion, the best) way to do it… Here’s how to brand yourself with articles:

Decide your niche.

The first important step is determining your niche. And so… So far so good. Who is your perfect audience? What are their interests? What do they enjoy doing? How can you relate to them?

When you know your niche inside & out, it’s easier to talk to them. This makes writing articles for them to read much easier & quicker as well.

Write often.

Once you have established your target market (niche), write articles as often as you can. It does absolutely no good to write a handful of articles to submit, then stop there. You have to write often to build up a good audience.

Speak openly about the topic(s).

One of the best ways to relate to your target customer is to speak freely & openly about the topics they’re intersted in. Take a positive, but open stance, & openly discuss important issues. Remember to stay upbeat, despite the topic.

Stay on target.

Don’t hop from one subject to another. Stay focused & on target with your niche’s interests & concerns. Clear? If your target market is 50-something singles, do not write about marriage issues or child-rearing issues. Right. Write about things that your target market is interested in, such as dating after 50, or introducing your new love to your grown children.

By following these simple methods, you can rapidly brand yourself as an author. You will build a following of people who enjoy reading your articles & will keep coming back for more.

A: Well, I think I can offer you a few tips to increase the views of your aticles. Here they’re in bulleted form -

  • Write often & a lot - The absolute best way to get many views on your articles is to write a lot of articles. Clear? I know that sounds redundant & simplistic, but it’s where you have to start. If you want a lot of views, write a lot of articles.
  • The cascading effect - I also call this the John Grisham effect. You know how when you find a new author & fall in love with their writing? You then want to read whatever else they have written. It is the same with articles. As your article volume increases, your articles begin to cascade upon each other, & new readers want to read other articles you have written.
  • Develop your own writing style - I encourage you to write in a conversational style. In other words, write like you talk. This will increase the know, like & trust factor with your readers. As your style develops, so will your following & thus your views.
  • Write great quality articles - As you get know for writing good stuff you’ll get more views.
