Why Adsense Is The Fastest Way To Make Money Online

March 19th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

There is hardly any argument over the fact that the Google Adsense program is a very fast way to start to make money online. In fact there’re those who would say that it’s in actual fact the fastest.

There are a number of reasons why this is true. If for instance you already have a site that is up & running & would wish to start making money… Most affiliate programs would require some very serious & specific marketing work on your side to generate traffic. Once sufficient traffic has been generated, you would then need to wait & see if you can turn any of that targeted traffic into actual sales. There is more. The truth is that the whole process would take a long time of painstakingly hard work for you to be easily able to start generating any revenue.

The Google Adsense program is different in that one doesn’t need too much traffic & neither do you really need to sell to make money… This is by far the most attractive aspect about the Adsense program.

Actually all you need is for some of your current visitors to click on your Adsense ads & you would immediately start to make money… The amazing thing is that you can even easily increase on your earnings without a significant increase in traffic by simply targeting high-paying Adsense ads. There is more. The way to do this is to use keyword phrases that have a high value placed on them as a result of bids placed by advertisers.

This isn’t too hard to achieve & is further proof that Adsense is a pretty fast way to make money online.

Monetize Your Site With Google AdSense

March 13th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

Is AdSense right for your site? It’s a great way to make a little extra money from your website. But it may not actually be right for every site.

If you have a retail site, you may not want other ads on your pages. Even though you can block sites from appearing on your pages, it will be hard to keep all of your competitors out of the Google ads. Clear? I for one do not use any other ads on my retail site.

Also, there is no reason to put ads on a brand new site with little or no traffic. Put effort into marketing your site & then you can slap the AdSense on. Use Analytics to watch the traffic. Once you’re getting many hundred page views per week, you can then attempt some ads. (Google does not care, but some people say Yahoo may penalize new sites which have Google ads on them)

Remember that any site can make money with AdSense if the site has traffic. The more traffic the site has, the more money it will make from advertising of any type. It’s just that simple! Therefore, success with paid click advertising depends on great Internet marketing skills.

It is all about how many targeted eyeballs see your site! If you site is about dogs, you really need to drive people to it who have an internet in dogs. Clear? If dog lovers come to your site, some of them will click on the ads. Clear? If they do not care for dogs, they will be gone before they even see the ads.

I suggest ordering the book The Adsense Code, by Joel Comm. It will often help you with tweaking the placement & style of the ads on your pages.

Tracking AdSense Advertising

February 29th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

AdSense on line reports allow you to customize the reports with whatever details are most important to you… You can include the number of page impressions, the click & the click-through rate. You can track how well ads in different formats are doing when compared to other formats. You can see how color impacts the success of the ads displayed on your website. You may rather rapidly see some specific trends that will cause you to make changes to your other webpages to get better results. There is more. The AdSense tracking tool allows you to see earnings by URL, doman, ad type, category and, of course, to see your earnings.

If you look at your AdSense tracking report & find that one specific page’s of ads are doing significantly better than any other type of ad on your website, it only makes sense to determine what make that ad special. Did you change the color of the ads on that specific page? Did you change the placement for that page? By trying different things on different pages, you can rapidly learn what works best for you on your website & make changes to other web pages on the site accordingly. You can just as easily see from these reports what’s not-TEMP working well, also. Then, of course, you will want to get rid of that attribute from the other web pages too.

There are other tracking tools available & even some automated tracking scripts out there that you can download. It seems that virtually everyone wants to get into developing tracking tools. However, because Google has developed AdSense & knows what the members of their community want & need, why turn to anyone else for tracking reports when AdSense has the tool that pretty much does everything you need right inside the application.

Refining an AdSense monetized website will allow you to maximize your income. The more people that click through on the AdSense ads, the more income you enjoy. Look to your tracking reports to determine exactly what works best for you & continue doing what works to earn the most income possible.

Adsense To Keep Your Visitors Happy

February 11th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

Making the most out of your AdSense sites means maximizing traffic inflow & maximizing click thru rate. The click thru rate means how many of your visitors viewing your site click thru to the sites displayed on the google ads. This article will be focusing on increasing visitor click thru rates through good AdSense placement.

There is a lot of advice about how to incorporate Google AdSense ads into your site. Each webpage is completely unique & following blanket statements such as the best spot is to the left, top or right may not yield the best results for your particular page. I’ve come up with a few guidelines that will often help you with better ad placement & increase your AdSense income.

Firstly, make certain there is enough white space around your ads. There is more. Try not to scrunch everything in. This does not need to be said but keep the adsense links in the same theme as the rest of your site. It does not have to be the same color, you can have a look at a color wheel for contrasting colors if it all looks a bit too plain.

Secondly, think about what it’s that grabs your visitors attention. Keep your ads to the top or left of the main attention grabbing content of that page. If your viewers will be looking at content in the centre then place the ads to the top or left of that content. Is there an image on the left hand side that will grab the visitors attention? Try to place the ad to the top of the image.

Setting ads near main content may mean you lose page space for other items. Many sites have a site index or other links to the left & putting ads there may disrupt your website design. If you have site links to the left I recommend using google ads at the top. Likewise if your index is at the top you can have your ads to the left. OK. Some use drop down links at the top which means you can place google ads at the top & to the left if you wish.

For a graphical look at ideal ad placement you can view the google heat map here:
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=17954

Bear in mind what your visitor is looking for. Keep your visitors happy :) & they will keep coming back. Design your site for your visitor first, AdSense or other income second.

How To Get Approved for Google Adsense

February 5th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

So you wish to monetize your website by publishing Google Adsense so that you can earn for every click. The first step in the process is getting your website approved to run these ads. Google will only allow quality site with quality content into its Adsense program.

If you have a website that has good regular updated content, lots of pages & good traffic then you probably will not have any problems getting approved. If your site is new & you have a few pages of content & not may visitors then I would suggest not trying to get a site like this approved for the program. That doesn’t mean that Adsense is not for you - you can still get approved.

There are two, quick, no hassle ways to get approved for the Google Adsense program. None of them require having your own website so you actually do not need your own website to get paid from Adsense.

The first way is to get yourself a free blog from blogger.com Google owns Blogger & it has a built in approval system for adsense. This means that anyone who has a blog on blogger.com, who wished to take part in the Google Adsense program is going to get approved. The first thing you really need to do after you set up your account is to make a couple of posts. Clear? It’s best to keep these posts within the same subject. Create good quality content that people will want to read.

When you have finished setting up your blog, you can then go into your user control panel & apply for the adsense program. This is a simple step & once you follow all the instructions, you’ll be approved in a matter of minutes.

Another way to get approved for Google Adsense is to set up an account with hubpages.com This is a revenue sharing site that allows you to earn adsense income from the ads that are showing on your pages. Once you have created a page or hub on hubpages.com you can then go into your affiliate settings & apply for adsense. And so… Since Hubpages is applying for you, you’ll not have any problems getting approved & you’ll be earning money from adsense in no time.

After you get approved, you can then use your adsense id anywhere you choose, even on your own website without having to get it approved individually. Just make certain you keep withing the terms & conditions of Google Adsense. You will not want to get your Google Adsense account banned after you so easily got it, right?

Google Adsense for Beginners Part One

January 30th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

Lots of people ask me, how do I make money with Adsense. Mind you most of the people that are asking me this are people just getting into building their own websites, & are trying to get on the internet money train to attempt & earn a few extra dollars.

When people ask me this, it kind of shocks me a bit, because I’m no expert when it comes to making money with Adsense, I only make roughly $600 a year with it, I do however know how it works, & ways to make it work better for you, my problem has just been getting traffic to the sites so I can even have the chance to be making any of the revenue I know how to make.

Adsense is a great source of income for a lot of people, & there is still room for many more people to join in & start making some extra spending money, & maybe even making enough to quit their regular job. You just have to know some basic information about the program, general marketing strategies, & be willing to put a lot of long, hard work into your projects. There is more. The last step is where most people fall short on, even I fall short on that one. You have to have the dedication to make certain your sites/blogs are updated often with new fresh content so you can continue driving traffic to your site. Because with out traffic it does not matter how well you blend your ads, where you place them or anything else you do with the ads, if you do not have traffic you can not make money.

Steps needed to get up & running with Adsense:

First, you really need to sign up with Adsense.

Once Adsense reviews your site, they will get back to you & tell you whether or not you were accepted into the program. If at first you were not successful in getting in, do not fret. Make the adjustments to your site that was noted in your rejection email & then reapply. If you still do not get it, another option is applying from a Blogger account, they almost always (always) approve those accounts.

Second Once your approved for an account, log in & grab the code given to you from Adsense & copy & paste that into your source code on your site. Depending on how you develop your site this process might change. On this blog, & others of mine I use the plug in Adsense Deluxe. It’s very simple to use, a must have for any WordPress blog you’re wanting to use Adsense with.

For right now, this is all I’ve for you, I’ll be making Part Two of this post shortly with more steps, tricks, & tips for you to use on your sites. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Great Adsense Tips

January 24th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

The on line advertising market is going to grow to $18.9 billion in 2010 according to Jupiter Research. That means we’re going to add $1.5 billion a year in advertising to the Internet. That money needs to go somewhere & I think blogs could take 10%-20% of that… There is a major inventory problem on the Internet & the reason that Google has done so well is that they’re spreading that money out over hundreds of thousands of sites which carry Google AdSense. And so… So I hope You have understood what’s the possibility of improving your AdSense revenue. Just follow the steps below & I hope you’ll be on the right track.

1. Do not do anything that is strictly prohibited in Google Adsense Program Policy & Terms & Condition.

2. Add maximum two search box, three ad unit, one ad link & two referral button per page

3.Make Your Ads Look Like Normal Content

4. Choose Right Ad Formats
-Use one leaderboard 728 x 90 text ad at the end of the article.
-Use one medium rectangle 300×250 text ad at the middle of the page somewhere among texts
-Use skyscraper 120×600 at the side column of your article.
-Try to avoid the banner ad format.

5. Link Units
-Use a vertical link unit on the top-left side where your all important navigation links are.
-Use a horizontal link unit under the logo of your site.

6. Use Section Targeting For Relevant Ads
Section targeting allows you to suggest a sections of your content that you had like to emphasize or down-play when matching ads to your site’s content. It will often help you to improve your ad targeting. Just add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code which will mark the beginning & end of whichever section you had like to emphasize or down-play for ad targeting & use it for as many sections of a page as you like. The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:

<!-- google_ad_section_start --></p> <p><!-- google_ad_section_end --> 7. For short articles, CTR is best when ads are placed just above the content

8. Don’t place ads in pop-up windows, error pages or even empty pages

Five Tips To Help You Make Money With Google Adsense

January 18th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

You can begin making money on your website by using Google Adsense. Tons of website owners are finding it hard to earn some good money daily, via their websites. So… Some masterful site designers are enjoying hundreds of dollars $ a day from Adsense ads.

Site builders who are veterans of Adsense, have learned some very useful tips. There is more. These tips will help those who want to attempt making money on line with Google Adsense. These not so well known tips have sky rocketed lots of site builders bank accounts.

I want to share with you five tips I use to improve my Google Adsense earnings.

1. Use the smaller rectangle ads. There is more. This size of ad generally will look like a regular link. So, you should be easily able to place these small squares strategically throughout your website, make them look like your regular links. Clear? It is important to blend them into the framework of your website.

2. Make sure you design your own color template. You want your Adsense ads to blend into your website. The most common color to use for the actual Adsense url link is blue. But, if blue doesn’t work well with your site make certain to color code the url link to the same color you have as a default link color. Make sure the text color you use on your website matches the Adsense text. Background colors must also blend together.

3. Strategically place your ads so that the remain in the viewers eye span. Do not put them at the bottom of your page. People rarely make it down to the bottom. Google has a great tool on their Adsense website which shows you how the majority of people eyes track through a website. Putting them at the top & left & right hand sides usually work best.

4. The better the content of your website, the better the Adsense ads Google provides. There is more. There’re ads that pay as high as $80 a click. So, it is imperative to make certain your website is ‘choked’ full of great content. Make sure that your keywords in your Meta tags match the content on your website. You do not want fat loss ads popping up on a website for motorcycle parts. Make that mistake & your Adsense earnings will plummet.

5. Use pictures to draw attention to your Adsense ads. Clear? It is a small black hat technique that Google will frown upon. But, their policy states you must have a border between the ads & the pictures, plus they state, the pictures can not match the ads. But, if you use your head & think outside the box, you can find a way to use images.

I hope you found these tips useful & they make your Adsense earnings soar.

Adsense - Make Adsense Make Cents

January 12th, 2008 Rob Posted in Adsense No Comments »

If you have not heard of Adsense yet do not worry, I will catch you up with the rest of the world. Adsense is an advertising network powered by Google, which rotates ads on your webpage. You earn commission every time some one clicks on the ad. The commission per click is usually just small change, but with large amounts of traffic could add up to great income. The key to being successful with Adsense along with high traffic volume is superb ad placement.

A common problem many Adsense users have is finding a good spot on their page to place the ads. Many webmasters are worried that if they place it in the wrong spot it may annoy visitors. I’ll tell you from my experience do not worry about that… No matter where you put Adsense it’s going to annoy your visitors. I have found the most annoying places are where I get the most clicks.

The most effective Adsense placement for me has always been at the very bottom of the page. At first thought that sounds backwards. It would seem logical to place the Adsense at the very top of the page where every visitor is sure to see it… Different webmasters have different experiences with Adsense placements, but for me I have gotten the most clicks at the bottom of the page.

My theory is when people visit your site they’re going to read some content. Many times people visit a webpage with intent. They may be searching for certain information, or just checking to see if you updated with new content. Visitors tend to not leave a webpage until they have found what they’re looking for. When some one reads your page they end at the bottom. Usually this means they have finished obtaining the information they were in search of. Now they may be ready to leave your page, & the Adsense at the bottom is staring them right in the face.

What I like about Adsense is that you can have them in multiple places on your webpage, so often times I put them at the top & the bottom. I rarely take up space on my sidebar to put Google Adsense. I rather use that space for direct advertising. I have seen some blogs that place them in every post. I have even witnessed them being placed in the middle of a post. I really hate those for the simple fact I do not foresee many people clicking away from a page while in the middle of reading great content.

Test a few different placements to find out which position generates the most clicks. After gathering the data make a decision on where you want to place Adsense. I suggest doing this not just with Adsense, but with all your advertisements. You want to locate the position on your page with the highest CTR (Click Through Rate). I tend to charge advertisers the most for that position due to its high CTR.
