Social bookmarking involves the setting up of accounts on the many social bookmarking sites on the internet like MySpace, Stumbleupon & Google Bookmarks. Not much effort is needed in setting up an account in these services; all that is required is a user name & a password. Once you set up an account on the site, you click on the site & bookmark your page.

You bookmark the page of your blog post by putting keywords in the form so that people can reach your post using these keywords. There is more. This gives you an added advantage of getting a link to the post which is very important in generating traffic to the site, & an income. This also gives you with the advantage of making your URL accessible by keywords by people using your social bookmarking services.

In fact, you could consider these social bookmarking sites to be mini search engines where the only difference lies in the usage of good keywords in searching for blogs & sites & not in using general keywords. There is more. There’re also plug-ins available that permit placing social bookmarking sites at the bottom of each post. Then the reader just has to click on the icon to bookmark that post to the account. This leads to another incoming link, & an increase in the page rank.

So it can be seen that to make money through a social bookmarking site, you basically have to first establish an account here, use the right keywords to describe & reach your site & to increase the number of incoming links to the site to increase the traffic to your website, & make money in the process
